"Proclaiming the true Christ to a troubled world and committed to the Bible as the inerrant Word of God"
|
The Association of Free Lutheran Congregations has its national office in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The AFLC is a Lutheran group believing in the Triune God and salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It seeks above all to be a truly confessing movement within the Lutheran faith, firmly believing the Bible is indeed the inerrant, infallible, and inspired Word of God.
The AFLC believes that God's Holy Word prohibits any re-interpretation of scripture by the will of men and women. His Word does not change and his rules for our moral and social behavior are to be honored. We believe that His guiding hand is always with us, requiring only that we believe that His Son, Jesus Christ died for our sins and gives us Eternal Life. And we ask for His will to be done in our lives through the work of the Holy Spirit.

Where we stand
- The congregation began in 2004 as the Holy Spirit led a few committed families to preserve and upohld uncompromised biblical Christianity. As we see how God has worked in our fellowship, we are even more certain that the individual congregation is the right expression of the Kingdom of God on earth.
- We bear witness that God's Word, the Bible, is our only authentic, inerrant, and infallible source of God's revelation to us all. It is the only completely adequate source and norm of Christian doctrine and life. We trust that the Bible, in all of it's parts, is truly the Word of God under all circumstances regardless of man's attitude toward it.
- We accept the ancient and unchanged doctrinal guides as found in the Apostles, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds, Luther's Small Catechism, and the true expression of the Christian faith and life.
- Without reservation, we believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. We desire to recognize His Lordship in our lives while we earnestly wish to lead others to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
The Association of Free Lutheran Congregations is a confessing church body of the Lutheran faith which means that we stand up for our beliefs and do not shrink from our responsibilities to live according to God's Word as formulated in the Bible. We believe in the power of prayer and pray with each other regularly. We believe in the value of Bible study and urge that it be a regular part of our day. We believe that staying in the Word of God is the only way to keep our lives committed to the work of God, both during our work day as well as our personal lives.

The AFLC today: 1. Recognizes the Bible as being inerrant and the authority in all areas of life; 2. Recognizes that the teaching and preaching of God's Word is the main task of the Church, to be conducted in such a way that the saints are built up in faithy and unbelievers see their need for salvation; 3. Believes that the congregation is the right form of the Kingdom of God on earth, with no authority above it but the Word of and the Spirit of God; 4. Believes that Christian unity is only found in true biblical faith, not a man-made organization or body such as the World Council of Churches or National Council of Churches; 5. Believes taht Christians are called to be salt and light in the world, separated from the ways of the world, and that this difference is to be reflected in the life of the institutions of the church today.
